Bass Log
01How do I start recording a fishing session?
Choose Casual or Tournament on the iPhone or iPad home screen. On Apple Watch, choose a mode and follow the on-screen start control. Sessions track duration; location and weather depend on permission and service availability.
02How does data sync between iPhone and Apple Watch?
The paired iPhone and Apple Watch exchange fishing records and settings through Apple WatchConnectivity. Keep the devices paired; connectivity, device lock state and system background scheduling can affect timing. If records are pending, open Bass Log on both devices and check the sync status.
03Can I use the app without internet?
You can record sessions and catches offline, with records stored locally. Weather, place lookup and new map content require a network connection; paired-device sync requires connectivity between the devices.
04How can I export my data?
Open Settings → Your Data → Export Data, choose JSON or CSV, then prepare the export. Exact coordinates are off by default and can be included explicitly; place names and notes may still reveal locations. Exports contain records and photo references, not image files or a complete restorable backup. v1.1 does not support import.
05How does Tournament Mode work?
Tournament Mode ranks your five heaviest catches and calculates their total weight. A new catch heavier than Rank 5 can improve the bag. Colors and ranks show weight order and do not represent physical cull tags.
06How do I delete my data?
Use the available in-app controls to delete sessions or catches. Deletion does not retract copies already exported or shared, or remove workouts saved separately in Apple Health. Manage Health records and system backups separately in the corresponding Apple interfaces.
